I'm one of those frustrated people who looks at art and wishes they could only have such talent. I've tried many times to sharpen my skill at drawing or painting... even on the computer where I thought I couldn't mess up. I guess I don't have the eye or heart to create such images.
But such images live in my dreams and they give me words. They tell me stories of wonderous characters and lands I have never been to that inspire me to tell their story. I do have words as my artist brush and anywhere I can lay them, there is my canvas.

I recently found another way of telling a story and expressing my creativity. I became a model for a photographer in Phoenix whom has encouraged me to continue modeling and to express myself through my body so that he can capture my story on film. It is through this self-discovery photography that I have found a renewed appreciation for myself. Hopefully, soon, I will share some of these doctored and undoctored digital photographs with you.
I've also started writing a novel based on a short series I wrote a few years ago for a fanfiction contest. It is based in feudal Japan around the time of the Sengoku Jidai. I had really been able to tie in my heritage and learn what it means to be Japanese while still living freely to my full potential. In that way, I am an American geisha.
